The Islantilla Golf Resort Hotel enjoys one of the best golf courses of Huelva, and only a 40 minute transfer from Faro. 27 holes surrounded by typical landscapes of Costa de la Luz and 3 golf circuits available of 9 holes each. This was host to the Tour España Masters in 1995, and in 2000 it was listed as one of the 100 best golf courts in Europe by the magazine Golf Digest.  The Islantilla Golf Resort is a 4-star hotel located in Islantilla, between Isla Cristina and the marshlands of Piedras river, offering a 27-hole golf course with extensive practice facilities.

Ryder Cup style format

This trip is definitely for those of you of that like to have a competitive edge to a trip mixed with tuition.

This trip will have tuition laid on for those of you that wish to take advantage of it in the mornings, and then the Ryder Cup style game will follow after a coffee break, teeing off at 10am most days.

On the evening of the day that we arrive, we will make the draw in front of the group to see which team you will be on, with a maximum of only 12 golfers per team. Each evening both teams will announce the playing order to see who is playing against who, and on which course. During the week there will be one practice round, followed by four rounds of Ryder Cup style pairs matches over 18 holes and one singles game over 9 holes, which will determine the winners. The format for the games will be – Four ball better ball, foursomes, four ball better ball, foursomes, singles and each match will be worth 1 point.

Tuition – There will be time each day to have your any part of your game checked and tweaked and a full days advanced short game tuition in the middle of the week.

This resort is absolutely stunning, and I would say is the best hotel to date that I have organised a golf trip to. The hotel is recently fully refurbished with stunning pool facilities, and within a stones throw of the club house.

This resort has an 18 hole golf course, 6 hole academy course, 2 tier driving range with a grass tee, Chipping/bunker green and 2 putting greens which makes this a perfect venue.

You have the choice of two very different weeks, or you can choose to come along for both and enjoy the benefits of both weeks. The nearest airport is Region de Murcia International Airport – RMU

WEEK ONE – Pre Season Game Tune Up

This week will see you you split into two groups each day, with one group playing 18 holes on the Hacienda del Alamo course in the morning and tuition in the afternoon and the other group vice versa. The tuition over the week will cover all areas of the short game and with some tuition on driving, fairway shots and course management. (Full itinerary below)

WEEK TWO – Short Game Masterclass

This week will have a very different feel about it as you will play three times on the Hacienda del Alamo course and three times on the Saurines GC. Tuition wise, this will be an advanced week focusing mainly on Chipping and Pitching with little bits on Bunkers and Putting. (Full itinerary below)
