Due to popular demand for winter coaching trips with GTH, we are pleased to be able to offer you a choice of weeks/formats for the first time. Below you will see a full months worth of coaching where we will be stationed at the fantastic and recently fully refurbished Double Tree by Hilton Islantilla Beach Golf Resort for four weeks between January and February 2023. The cost per week is the same whether you decide to come for one, two, three or all four weeks. Below you will see what coaching is going to happen on each week and who the professionals will be, and we’ve got some fantastic weeks organised for you.

Tour Pro Experience
Professionals – Giles Evans, Owen Mills
What a couple of great weeks we’ve got for you here, as you will benefit by gaining experience from our tour professional Giles Evans and his caddy Owen Mills (also a professional). They will explain and show you how to improve areas of your game such as a simple but effective warm up, pre shot routine, course management, mindset and so much more. You will get plenty of game time with both professionals as well as having them work on your games off the course.

09:30-12:00 – Q&A session with Giles & Owen about how to stretch and warm up before every game, followed by the importance of a solid pre shot routine. The professionals will then work on everyone’s set up and pre shot routine, giving you your personal one to suit your needs.
13:00 – Tee off 18 holes
Sunday 22nd January
09:30-12:00 – Q&A on Putting, Chipping & Bunkers with Giles & Owen to see exactly how, what and why they practice these three vital areas of the game. The professionals will then work on your game in these three areas, making sure to give you a solid practice regime that you can use for the rest of the season.
13:00 – Tee off 18 holes
Monday 23rd January
09:30-11:00 – Giles & Owen will explain and demonstrate how they work on distance control and ball flight control for pitching, before giving you personal instruction on how you can improve yours.

10:30 – Tee off 18 holes, where the professionals will play a few holes with each group and give individual advice on how you can improve your scoring.

Short Game Masterclass – Week 2
Professionals – Stuart Smith, Owen Mills, Giles Evans
This week will see you start by being tested on your putting, chipping, pitching and bunkers which will give you a score for each discipline. Throughout the week we will be working on your technique and mental side for all four areas before re testing you at the end of the week, where I’m 100% confident in you improving your score. Improving your short game is so much more than just improving your technique, you also need to improve your understanding of each shot as well as picking the correct shot, and all these skills you will improve on in this week.

09:00-11:30 – All golfers will be given a time where you be tested on your Putting, Chipping, Bunkers & Pitching.
11:00 – Tee off 18 holes
Sunday 29th January
09:00-10:30 – You will be split into three groups, where you will all spend 30 minutes each working on the correct set up for Chipping, Bunkers & Pitching, and understanding each shot correctly.
10:30-11:00 – Putting set up and tempo.
12:00 – Tee off 18 holes
Monday 30th January
09:00-10:30 – You will be split into three groups, where you will all spend 30 minutes each working on technique & strike for Chipping, Bunkers & Pitching.
10:30-11:00 – Working on starting your putts on line by using putting gates.

09:00-10:30 – You will be split into three groups, where you will all spend 30 minutes each working on landing zones/distance control for Chipping, Bunkers & Pitching and understanding what club works best from where.

09:00-11:30 – All golfers will be given a time to be retested on your Putting, Chipping, Bunkers & Pitching.

Long Game Distance & Accuracy – Week 3
Professionals – Stuart Smith, Owen Mills, Giles Evans
Driver, fairway woods and hybrids, who doesn’t want to hit these longer and straighter? So this week is your chance to improve yours ready for the season ahead. At the start of the week everyone will have their driver club speed, ball speed, dispersion and distances measured on the GCQuad launch monitor. Throughout the week we will work on your technique so that we improve your club head speed, ball speed and ball control, which will ultimately improve your distance and dispersion, allowing you to shoot lower scores. At the end of the week we will retest you to see how much you have improved. You will also receive some advice whilst out on the course.

Saturday 4th February
09:00-12:00 – This session will see you hit some balls on the range with your driver before having your turn on the GCQuad launch monitor. We will use this data to form your personal tuition structure for the week and you will receive your first lesson straight after.

09:00-09:45 – Working on your driving lesson under guidance from one of the three professionals.
09:45-10:30 – improving your strike for fairway woods and hybrids.
11:30 – Tee off 18 holes
Monday 6th February
09:00-12:00 – A roll up practice session where you will be retested on the GCQuad to see how your improving and then another personal lesson.
